Love Waiheke Island Winery Day Tour

Just 40 mins by ferry from Auckland, Waiheke Island is known as a wellspring of food, wine and spectacular scenery.

Join laid-back locals Jane and Darren (your guides for the day) and discover the best of Waiheke's vineyards.

About this Tour

Visit world-class boutique vineyards, and taste delicious wines in paradise. Learn about the Island’s history, flora and fauna and the Island’s quest for peace and harmony whilst journeying between wineries.

You'll be picked up 10.40am and greeted by your driver guide at Matiatia or the designated Island pickup location around 11am start. On the way to the first vineyard, we take the Northern scenic drive. It has spectacular views of Oneroa, the Hauraki Gulf and native bushland.

In keeping with our relaxed pace, we visit Onetangi Beach and soak up this spectacular seaside location before embarking on our next vineyard location.

We'll take you for lunch at a restaurant of your choosing, or we can make a recommended booking that suits your taste.

On the final leg of our tour, we pass back through the seaside village of Oneroa. This is the main hub of the island, with its many shops, boutiques, galleries, restaurants and wine bars.

A designated shuttle pickup will be arranged for transfers back to the ferry terminal or Island accommodation.

Simple, uncomplicated, real. That’s just one way they describe themselves at Batch Winery. These Waiheke wine warriors deliver on tastings or food, and wine pairings — Chardonnay, Syrah, Pinot Gris and Bordeaux never
tasted so good.

Know before you go:

  • Waiheke is a really big island, so there will be some driving between venues (no more than 20 mins)

  • Kiwi weather can be changeable (regardless of the season), best bring a jacket. If you prefer more time at each venue, you might like to consider a bespoke tour

  • Please be ready and waiting at your specified pick-up time as the tour has set times at each of the attractions visited and unfortunately cannot wait

  • This tour requires a minimum of 4 people
